 The Senior School band participated in the Inter-school Battle of the Bands at GEMS Wellington Academy, Silicon Oasis.  They were awarded Best Band.

Sanjana Shetty of 11F was also awarded Best Vocals while Aaron George of 11E was awarded Best Drummer.

DYNADOOR & THE SOLAR SHADE PROJECT

The DYNADOOR project developed by our boys was a true example of creativity and innovation as the prototype revealed the ability of any door to harness the energy of its movement from mechanical to electric energy that could be stored in a grid.

SOLAR SHADE project devised methods to use solar panels and piezoelectric sensor to produce more energy and replace some amount of electricity drawn from the power grid by our school.

TECHNO TALENT FEST

Ramya Singh of Grade 5C won the first place in Movie Making on the Topic “Food Chain Rapper” at the Techno Talent Fest. 47 schools participated. The competition was a display of the innovative and logical dexterity of budding minds, bringing out critical thinking and reasoning skills of aspiring students.

GLOBAL INNOVATION CHALLENGE

Archie Parekh, Maathangi Anirudh, Sachin Saravanan & Samarth Chandna were the inventors of the Automated Histopathology Operating Software (APOS). APOS is a software which seeks revolutionise microscopic diagnosis, especially in the field of histopathology by making it not only more efficient in terms of diagnosis, but by also making it the most affordable technology made to eliminate the problem of lack of specialised doctors and pathologists in developing or rural areas of the world. Click on the link to view more about the project. The team made it to the top 10 rpm among 1500 entrepreneurs from the GIC. The team also presented their project at the Science symposium held at the Emirates Aviation College, Dubai.

YOUNG INNOVATOR - EXPO 2020

Samrin Saleem, Nashita Afza Syed, Sakshi Mestry and Ruchika Jawahar devised a solution to put a permanent end to this issue – HOTCARS. They created a prototype that will help revolutionize the safety and security of pets and children. Their project is displayed in the main pavilion at the Expo.

The Pride of Abu Dhabi Award 

The Pride of Abu Dhabi Awards is the community award that celebrates the people and companies of Abu Dhabi. Created by the Abu Dhabi World magazine, the awards pay tribute to those who work across various fields from education and events to charity and hospitality. There were 15 categories of awards with 400 nominees. Sean Sanoop George, Student of Grade 7A, bagged the Young Achiever of the Year 2019 title.

SHEIKHA FATIMA AWARD

GEMS Education honoured 41 female students in the UAE with the prestigious Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Award for Excellence. Aafreen Nizam  is the recipient of The Sheikha Fatima Award for Excellence 2021 from TMS.

KGS INTER-SCHOOL MUSIC FESTIVAL

The Primary school won the coveted KGS Inter- School Music Rolling Trophy along with awards for best costumes and best choir.
